~welcome~

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my teaching portfolio. This blog is created for the subject ICT in Science. And, i hope this blog can be one of the site that provide some useful information and place where we can exchange our ideas :)

modelling and simulations

Posted by mencarispirit on 10:06

The other new thing that we learned during ICT lesson was about simulation and modelling. Through this we learned how to differentiate between simulation and modelling, where the variable of modelling can be controlled. For this segment, we were asked to find out any simulation and modeling from the internet and explain on what we have chosen to the class. As for my group, we chose simulation the rate of evaporation and for modelling we chose gas properties.

A simulation refers to a computerized version of the model which is run over time to study the implications of the defined interactions. Simulations are iterative in their development. One develops a model, simulates it, learns from the simulation, revises the model, and continues the iterations until an adequate level of understanding is developed. While Modelling is the process of representing a real-world object or phenomenon as a set of mathematical equations. More specifically, the term is often used to describe the process of representing 3-dimensional objects in a computer. All 3-D application, including CAD/CAM and animation software. ICT always gives me an idea how fun and easy life are.
