For this lesson (15 November 2011), we were exposed to the data logger. We were asked to conduct an experiment which used data logger. From there we know that data logger is not just a tool, but it had so many benefit in helping us. We were provided with data logger, plastic, also humidity and temperature sensor. Those days, our scientist spent most of their time in order to wait and record the desired data but now with the data logger, they do not need to wait anymore. They just can leave the data logger to record the data by itself. For this experiment, we used data temperature sensor to collect the temperature of our body and surrounding. The humidity sensor was used to record the change in humidity when our hand is wrapped with the plastic.

A data logger is an electronic device that records data over time or in relation to location either with a built in instrument or sensor or via external instruments and sensors. In addition, addition, data logger not just can be used to record data in a convenient and effective way,It also had so many other benefits. Some of the benefits are most data loggers collect data, which may be directly transferred to a computer. Although this option is available with some recorders, it normally adds significant expense to the recorder price. Data logger also offers more flexibility and are available with a greater variety of input types. Data's acquisition systems also can collect data in efficient and flexible way but the computer needs to be present during recording the data while the data logger can collect the data independently without a computer. Data logger also having some disadvantage such as it sensitive to surrounding and can lead to inaccurate result. Hence, we should be careful when handling with this tool. What is the most important thing here we learn and understand new technology, which will benefits us in the future as a teacher. ^_*
